New Hamburg ROMEOS Calling

The original purpose of the group was to bring together new neighbours who had moved from other parts of the Province of Ontario and also from other Provinces of Canada to our community of New Hamburg.

Initially the group was only composed of men from one street of the community but it has expanded to other areas as the need required. Initially the ROMEOS were run as a unique and isolated entity because the members had not been exposed to or were aware of the Organization's history and development. It only adopted the ROMEO name when it was found and referenced in a novel read by a member's wife.

The founding members then proceeded to allocate 'call signs' to each new participant based upon the Greek alphabet, Alpha to Omega, and grant a scroll to the new members.

Presently, we have 20 members as of January 1, 2013. This reflects a fluctuation of new and removed members from our inception. We may have to find a new alphabet very soon to maintain newer 'call signs'!!

ROMEO Lunch - March 3, 2011

Calling all Romeos,

It's that time again for all good ROMEOS to come together
for fellowship and cheer.

This Thursday, it has been determined by the Committee,
to grace the premises of The Chop House in Wellesley,
where the proprietor will place before the prestigious group,
a feast that becomes our station.

Topics for conversation will include the following:
1. Access to the new ROMEO Blogger as a means to update
the members on stuff.
2. New business from members.
3. The usual gossip about absent members and
4. Topical jokes with a sexual overtone.

Transportation will be coordinated, prior to embarking on our quest.

Remember, 'If you're not the lead dog, your view never changes.'

ROMEO Lunch - February 17, 2011

Greetings To All Romeos,

The Committee has decided by a vote of 3 to 2 that this Thursday we will
convene at the Boar's Head in Stratford on Avon.

As dictated by a vote of 4 to 1 we will meet at 11:15 am and proceed to the
establishment of choice where the members will quaff a few and order from
the right side of the Bill of Fare.

Transportation will be dictated by the number of members who can attend
and the cars available.

Remember, there is no running in the halls.
