New Hamburg ROMEOS Calling

The original purpose of the group was to bring together new neighbours who had moved from other parts of the Province of Ontario and also from other Provinces of Canada to our community of New Hamburg.

Initially the group was only composed of men from one street of the community but it has expanded to other areas as the need required. Initially the ROMEOS were run as a unique and isolated entity because the members had not been exposed to or were aware of the Organization's history and development. It only adopted the ROMEO name when it was found and referenced in a novel read by a member's wife.

The founding members then proceeded to allocate 'call signs' to each new participant based upon the Greek alphabet, Alpha to Omega, and grant a scroll to the new members.

Presently, we have 20 members as of January 1, 2013. This reflects a fluctuation of new and removed members from our inception. We may have to find a new alphabet very soon to maintain newer 'call signs'!!

This Thursday, June 14, 2012 the lunch venue has been established for the Williamsburg Arms in Kitchener.

The Committee selected this location based upon:

1. The selection of beers on tap

2. The serving waitresses

3. The selection of beers on tap

4. The serving Waitresses .....The serving Waitresses .....The serving Waitresses

Cameras with flashes are not permitted during the pole dancing. OSHA requirement.

Loonies and toonies are not accepted. Bring paper denomination only.

Our Lunch outing this week will be to the old German
Concordia Restaurant in Kitchener at Ottawa and Homer Watson.

If the weather is accommodating, it is suggested that we use the outdoor
patio. We can however, always use the air conditioned restaurant if needed.

Once a total number of members is known, the car pooling will be forwarded.

We will leave Stonecroft on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 11:15am.
