New Hamburg ROMEOS Calling

The original purpose of the group was to bring together new neighbours who had moved from other parts of the Province of Ontario and also from other Provinces of Canada to our community of New Hamburg.

Initially the group was only composed of men from one street of the community but it has expanded to other areas as the need required. Initially the ROMEOS were run as a unique and isolated entity because the members had not been exposed to or were aware of the Organization's history and development. It only adopted the ROMEO name when it was found and referenced in a novel read by a member's wife.

The founding members then proceeded to allocate 'call signs' to each new participant based upon the Greek alphabet, Alpha to Omega, and grant a scroll to the new members.

Presently, we have 20 members as of January 1, 2013. This reflects a fluctuation of new and removed members from our inception. We may have to find a new alphabet very soon to maintain newer 'call signs'!!

ROMEO Lunch March 31, 2011

Greetings to all Romeos.

It's time to venture to our next luncheon outing and once again achieve Nirvana
through partaking of a portmanteau of a chip butty or piece-n-chips.

Also available is the gastropub menu that will challenge your taste buds.

All of this will be convened at the Williamsburg Arms, in Kitchener.

Those who are able to join, are asked to sign up for the lunch on the Web Site.

We will advise of the car pooling once the above is known.

The normal departure time will be at 11:15 am on Thursday.

The Committee looks forward to greeting all who are able to join.
