New Hamburg ROMEOS Calling

The original purpose of the group was to bring together new neighbours who had moved from other parts of the Province of Ontario and also from other Provinces of Canada to our community of New Hamburg.

Initially the group was only composed of men from one street of the community but it has expanded to other areas as the need required. Initially the ROMEOS were run as a unique and isolated entity because the members had not been exposed to or were aware of the Organization's history and development. It only adopted the ROMEO name when it was found and referenced in a novel read by a member's wife.

The founding members then proceeded to allocate 'call signs' to each new participant based upon the Greek alphabet, Alpha to Omega, and grant a scroll to the new members.

Presently, we have 20 members as of January 1, 2013. This reflects a fluctuation of new and removed members from our inception. We may have to find a new alphabet very soon to maintain newer 'call signs'!!

Romeo Lunch, March 21, 2103

Salutations to All Members,

A Belated Happy Saint Patrick's Day.

Just hope that the wind at your back is not the result of the
corn beef and cabbage.

Now to the subject at hand. The Committee has determined that the coming Romeo outing will grace the establishment known as the
'Nith River Chop House'.

A repeat performance suggests that the members are willing to partake of  the menu at any time.

Once again you may notice that the St. John's ambulance is on station, just in case.

Rest easy Romeos. The Committee has you covered.
