New Hamburg ROMEOS Calling

The original purpose of the group was to bring together new neighbours who had moved from other parts of the Province of Ontario and also from other Provinces of Canada to our community of New Hamburg.

Initially the group was only composed of men from one street of the community but it has expanded to other areas as the need required. Initially the ROMEOS were run as a unique and isolated entity because the members had not been exposed to or were aware of the Organization's history and development. It only adopted the ROMEO name when it was found and referenced in a novel read by a member's wife.

The founding members then proceeded to allocate 'call signs' to each new participant based upon the Greek alphabet, Alpha to Omega, and grant a scroll to the new members.

Presently, we have 20 members as of January 1, 2013. This reflects a fluctuation of new and removed members from our inception. We may have to find a new alphabet very soon to maintain newer 'call signs'!!

Romeo Lunch, February 21, 2013

It's that time of year when most of our Romeos are down in Florida
to enjoy the warmth and fun in a warmer climate.

Not only that but we are still losing members for lunch when more
will be heading for Hilton Head next week as well as South Africa
by Ken and Jennie who will take the safari route while over there.
What a great trip that will be!! Have a great time with Bill and Pat
Leggett who are going as well.
Just talked to Carol LaChance about your trip and she may have friends
going on the same tour. It's a small world.

This Thursday a group of four still went to the Waterloo Pub in New
Hamburg for lunch. With a small group we sat in a booth and were
able to talk on the topics that were relevant. Gossip!!
