New Hamburg ROMEOS Calling

The original purpose of the group was to bring together new neighbours who had moved from other parts of the Province of Ontario and also from other Provinces of Canada to our community of New Hamburg.



Initially the group was only composed of men from one street of the community but it has expanded to other areas as the need required. Initially the ROMEOS were run as a unique and isolated entity because the members had not been exposed to or were aware of the Organization's history and development. It only adopted the ROMEO name when it was found and referenced in a novel read by a member's wife.



The founding members then proceeded to allocate 'call signs' to each new participant based upon the Greek alphabet, Alpha to Omega, and grant a scroll to the new members.



Presently, we have 20 members as of January 1, 2013. This reflects a fluctuation of new and removed members from our inception. We may have to find a new alphabet very soon to maintain newer 'call signs'!!

Romeo Luncheon, March 22, 2012

Our bi-weekly lunch will convene at The Trail's End in Plattsville.


Eleven members have agreed to participate at this fine Sport's Bar.


John, Jon and Ken M will be driving to this lovely little burg in the country.


Good to see Jack there as it has been some time since he was able to join us,
as well as Ivan.


Off course, Phil is still our dessert tester on all things good.


Ken Moorehead will be leaving soon for Asia which means we need a new
sommeliere for our wine tasting.
